Any tips on textures? No matter what material I place on my house model, I can not seem to get that rough stone look. I tried a few options but something is just missing. Any tips?

BTW I love C4D. Have had nothing but a blast.

have a check of firstly bhodinuts site and forum

http://www.bhodinut.com
http://forum.bhodinut.com

then do a google search for textures for c4d, and here are a couple of good links

http://www.maxon.net/deepshade/
http://www.cinema4d.co.kr/goodies/texture.htm
http://www.3dlinks.com/community_cinema4D.cfm
http://www.3dlinks.com/tutorials_cinema4d.cfm

then apart from that if your textures are coming in too large use the texture mode, or texture axis mode to change the texture position, scale and orientation just as you would any other object. just select your texture you want to edit. select the texture mode (looks like a sideways chess board) then select either the move, scale or rotate tools to modify the texture in realtime on your object.

hope this helps :)

Noctua Graphics have some good looking textures and SLA materials for free (plus a couple of decent texture disks at good prices).

New stuff gets added pretty much every week.
