hi,
i'm a modeler and using maya. i wanna learn about character riging and skining, but i've some problem on hand , neck and shoulder any body can help me? how should i rig and skin hand and shoulder(more problem is collar bone) to get a good result when i'm moving hand up (straight up)? and what about neck and also how should i rig and skin the stomache and chest?

please help me so i can do better.

Sorry for the quick response, but Cane Toad website (http://www.cane-toad.com/tuteRig_Shoulder.htm) has a nice setup relating to arm and shoulder twists - also take a look at this Setup Machine 2 Biped Rig (http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/rafhashvideotapes/TSM2Mguy.zip) Maya file for some hints as to how things in that areas can work smoothly..

Lastly here's some good tips shoulder (http://www.creaturetd.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=333) and forearm (http://www.creaturetd.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=488) rigging..
