Hi everyone,

I have build a cartoon character. The eyes are not real spheres but sqashed ones (otherwise they wout stick out of the head to much). Now i want to animate the eyes with a "Look At constraint". But my problem is, how can i move the iris without rotating the whole eyeball.
Even if i use a different object for the iris, how can i let it move only on the surface of the deformed eyeball?

Thanks for any tips
Marc

hi there

the way i use is like this... create sphere for the eye, another for eyelids, align pivots and create ffd spacewarp around the whole thing. bind the spheres to the spacewarp and modify it. this way you can animate the eye and the eyelids... hope this helps...

Thanks,

that works great. It is exactly the effect i was looking for. I tried it with a normal FDD but then i had to rotate the vetices manually, but the space warp is so much easier and better.

thanks again
Marc
