View Full Version : Can't open Max 8 files in Max 7.5

I purchased a Max 8 book (3DS Max 8 Essentials) it came with a CD that has demos on it ... but, I cannot open them in 3DSM 7.5. Ive had this issue before when I downloaded the demo of Max 8 at work, created something ... went home and tried opening the file in Max 7.5. It gives me the following:

When I click open it says it cannot open the file. Cancel ... cancels.

export the max 8 file out as a obj then import it into max 7. You can't open a max 8 file with any other version below it. You can open older releases files with max 8. good luck
