Well this is my first post here. I'm currently modeling and texturing a womans head to later animate for a facial animation exercise. Im not really concerned about rendering yet but the face alone is 1020 faces and the hair is 140. Still need to model the teeth and all the blendshapes. Hope you all like, i havent been working on it long but i wanted to do something simple. All crits and comments are welcome :)

If you all have any questions, please email me at big_nick_76@hotmail.com

Thanks,
Nick

You cannot host those images off of your desktop, even if you are running a webserver on your machine. For free image hosting try this website, it's free and you can link directly to your images:

Hi, here's a few things i'd like to suggest:

The "dip" under the nose is too wide at the top, usually it ends between the nostrils, not on the sides
The nasal fold loop is missing
She has no clearly defined nostrils
The mesh is really dense but the result looks very low poly (that means you are wasting polys)
She's missing a jaw line
For animation purposes, the nasal fold and jaw line would help give better deformation.

Here's an example of female head, it aint perfect tho:

Note: This is the un-smoothed version. Guess i should go back and revamp this old thing.

Yeah im going to work on the "dip" its kinda hard to notice actually. The nostrils arent really defined because of me trying to keep it around 1k polys but i can move some around to define it better im sure. As for the jaw line, the reference i was using had a sort of narrow jaw so thats probaly why it appears like so. Thanks for the input!

Next post will hopefully be full of facial deformations.
