Guys,

I have been trying to add hair to my Yoda model using SasLite.

First problem is that SasLite moans that my subpatched object has too many (45000) points.

Is there any way around this restriction other than buying the full version of Sasquatch. I'd like to preserve my
my facial animation endomorphs?

Does the full version of Sasquatch (which I am considering buying) restrict the point count in any way?

Does it also support subpatches, and endomorphs?

Grateful for any help.

Cheers

Rich

copy the polygons of the head that have hair applies to a new layer. now in Layout aplly saslite to the new layer. Check unseen by camera under the properties pannel, so the poygons don't show, just the hair.

Good luck!

You need to reduce the poly count. Do what Ayreon said (copy the polys to a new layer) but reduce the polys by whatever method you like (QEM Loss, etc.). Make it unseen by camera, and it should work for you. It's one of the limitations of SasLite (poly count) but this will get you around it.

or you can subdivide it and then reduce the subpatch level on rendering ... that worked for me and I have a zero loss of detail or anything.

Guys,

Thanks for all the suggestions. Copying, pasting and hiding the polys worked great. I'll post some images when I get time.

Thanks for all your help!
