"MARCH"
We will do ALL 12 months on the calendars for 2 weeks, OUT OF ORDER.
This is an EARLY MONDAY posting.
Have fun
We will try to post one of these topics once a day for your enjoyment.

These are the rules:
* Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
* RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
* They can be done on any medium.
* If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
* Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
* The topics will be posted every day between 10:00 - 12:00 am US EST.
* The artist also has to post total length of time it took (Thanks Clanger for the idea) and program used.
* Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
* Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
* The topics will be picked at random from the list on this thread
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
*You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them). NEW RULE!
*ANOTHER thread to quantify and track WHO has participated the most on these threads.

Good luck

-Roberto

Erikoinen & Kamjar, great work!

I had to go the different path. I was thinking of march and the only thing that I could think of was march hares. Then I thought zombies. What can't be better with zombies?

Thanks guys. :) Been ages since I last posted something in DSG. I'm thinking of taking the "month challenge" and sketch all of them. Cheers to Roberto (or whoeverthehell's this idea was :))

yeah, months are cool... any excuse to sketch landscapes:thumbsup:

first sketch in ages. (technically it's my second sketch, the first one being something I posted ages ago, back when I knew absolutely nothing about color or anything -- these newer ones will be an attempt to learn). took about 1.5 to 2 hr. any comments more than welcome.

Wasn't really sure what to do, but i'm a big fan of chinese art. so the big fan in my dinning area impired me to do this piece.

Love everyones piece. seems like nature is the running theme. I was going to do a cheerleader (ie: March Madness... ) but changed my mind at the last min.

Well the seasons are a little different in south america. Actually March was when summer vacation ended and we had to go back to school.. We had to use these horrible uniforms. The school I went to was very strict :D

Quick sketch.... 10 minutes photoshop.

ines: im sad to hear youve never heard about it. It´s open source and a very big painting program in fact. Many people including me thinks that it offers exactly the same functions as the brand newest photoshop. On some points it not as good as photoshop and on some points i think its better.

edit: if anyone would try this program it can be downloaded from gimp.org

In ancient Rome, March was called Martius, so named after the Roman god of war and was considered a lucky time to begin a war. -Wikipedia
