View Full Version : subdiv mirror geometry problem

Hey guys. Still working on that car model and I've run across another problem. I've finished the half-body and now Im trying to mirror and attach the subdiv geometry. Everything was working fine until I reached the roof. When I tried to mirror, it mirrors about the correct axis (x-axis), but it also rotates it by about 30 degrees (it looks like 30 degress). I'm not sure why Maya is rotating it.

I cannot attach my subdiv pieces for the roof until I figure this out because they arent aligned correctly after this rotation.

Here is a pic of what happens. These are 2 different views for a better idea of the angle of rotation. The geometry on the left is the original and the one on the right is the mirrored and rotated one:

anyone ? ... or is there another forum or board that you can recommend for more opinions on my mirroring problem ?
