This is my first post here.

I'm compositing a Warrior/Dragon Slayer image in Photoshop to be used as a 3D modeling and texture reference. The image is about as refined as it will ever get, but I wanted to get some of your reactions before I start modeling him.

hate to tell you this but....your link to the image does not work. You can try to make a page (html) and link it or attach it to a post...
