The shield is part weapon, those pointy bits aren't there just for show, with one good swing....you can do a lot of damage :)

Really nice work on the axe! Love your style. Looks like something Shrek himself would wield.
However, I noticed something. Your blade is hinged where it meets the shaft - which I love - but notice where the bottom edge of the blade would rotate down...right on the fingers! Owww. Try adding a guard or changing the range of rotation in the hinge. Great work, otherwise. :buttrock:

The axe has no moving parts, the blade is connected that way to avoid those unwanted shocks...one might get in battle..you know...metal against metal...something like that :)

I really like the axe. Something I'd expect to see in a game of diablo or something. Very clean look to it.

The shield is just a bit over-complex IMO, after a few minutes looking at it, I still cant figure out how one would hold it. :D

But still a very nice job.
Now create a barbarian like character to use them! :cool:
