View Full Version : Howto prevent scale affect "children" and still have position inherited
Slugger 11-27-2002, 10:03 PM Is there a way to prevent scale affect "children" and still have position inherited? I have a set of eyes on a model and all works fine, only thing is that I cant seem to get control of the pupils(geometry), eyeballs(geometry) squash & stretch fine and so does the pupils that are "childs" of the eyeballs, how to "unlink" the scale? hope this makes sense?

I'm not sure I follow, but wouldn't a point constrain and an orient constrain do the trick?

Graf Orlok,
I am not sure either!? wrote the lines real late at night, things are like this, the pupil have a aim constraints to locator, the position of pupils are enherited from eyeballs since they are child of them, now the eyeballs squash & stretch via setdriven with the blendshaped head, and when doing so the pupils goes along with the ssale of the eyeballs, what I wanna do is to control the pupils scale seperately, hope this makes more sense, cheers,
