i get this magazine called studio monthly - an interesting mix of the various sides of production and technology - but this most recent issue has an article on lighting a product shot in under an hour - which is something that any users of 3D should read and make the connection of 3d "virtual" tools to the real world way... and the fact that setting up lighting in an hour is a speedy feat - rather then the misconception of most digital "tools" of you should be able to just push a button and it should look great.
but i hope many can find this article interesting and may enhance their understanding of real world lighting situations and how you can apply that to working in digital 3D space.
