MoonMonkey 01-06-2006, 11:17 AM Hi there
Is it possible to generate normal maps from within Modo and also to bake other maps such as radiosity?
Cheers

Not currently...modo 201 will cover all those sort of rendering/baking aspects.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
Is there any examples available on these aspects of 201. I have been trying to look through the luxology site but have'nt found anything so far.

Although it doesnt show normal map baking, there is a drop down list in the video. Brad does an Ambient Occlusion bake instead.
Cheers.

Just to mention, object normal baking is not supported.(bake the normals from a high res to low res model's uv is currently not possible).

yeah you can bake textureinfo/normal/AO ect. bake to texture, but not to low res mesh's uvmap.
For me atm kinda useless, unless i have for both meshs the exactly uvlayout...hope lux will add that soon.
