View Full Version : Facial Modeling
miccgil88 01-06-2006, 01:08 AM Okay, so I've created a face using splines, I've used the built in tutorial to build a monkey face with Nurbs, but what is a good way to creat a human face/neck that can be used for animating? I know some methods are better/worse to use for animation. I'm working on a Superman design, and I cant figure out how I want to do his face. I'm dont really know how to do a HUMAN face with Nurbs... but I'm sure there's plenty of tutorials.
Thank you in advance.

yep, chris_p is absolutely right, the method used in the joan of arc tutorials is great, one of my favorite methods.

This Video tutorial is AWSOME for making a face/Head (by Dave Black): http://www.3dzealot.com/php/index.php
I use this method always and for me itīs the best yet... because of the great edgeflows you get by modeling this way, u get a better animatible face (because the face is "anatomicaly" correct..speking of edgeflow wise)
