Try running the mpeg in Quicktime 6. I'm not sure what codec Paul uses on his videos, but they always reek havoc with Windows Media Player on my machine.
BTW, love Paul's stuff, great as always!

It does not run here either, actually all his mpegs do not run in browser ... go to this directory to check it out /images2/bp.mpg
William,
Do you have any reference you can share for all these great cartoony models you make

most come from my head...I sketch a nasy little image that looks like chicken scratch just to get the idea down.....I figure by the time I make a detailed drawing....I'm done with the model....
Sometimes I get refrence pix from clients and that speeds things up a bit....but I really like doing it from my head...I fell like it's they way I used to work from clay.....basic sketch...then detail in clay.....
no clay....means no mess....gotta love LW :)

Looks good. I think the character could use a bit more squash/compression as he hits the ground though.

check out what Paul said he wish he had to time do to it over on his site.......The deadlineon the naim was very short....like one night short......I was blown away by what he could do in a few hours time at last minutes notice...

I agree it's good work especially considering the limited time frame.
Paul's comments appeared to be soliciting observations on the animation such as the one I posted.

Hey Guys! Thanks for all the comments!! Hey Chewey, good observation and very valid... when you run out of time :D you run out of time! When the time starts to get close to the deadline you have to make some calls on what to sacrifice - i.e. do I finish the clip or finess what I have? Anyway, thanks again and happy animating!
P.S. Proton is a modeling machine. I'm convinced he is not human. But wait... I heard he ate turkey today.... hmm... an LScript that eats turkey and spits out models... To all my US friends, Happy Thanksgiving!

actually....I had fish.....no turkey for me
that was wonderful.
I must say that the only problem i saw was in the lack of recoil as he lands. BUt other than that, he is just beautiful! Very fast and agile feeling!
BTW, love your Just Animate cd, Lost....
and nice work on that character Proton!
some fockin amazing talent in here.
what teh hell is a bomb pop? anyway the animation is awesome, character kinda has the feel of the toy story guy... forget his name for now...

you are truly missing out....they are great!
awww yeah. sigh... i remember those days. You would hear that distant twinkling music and run out to the streets with what little money you could find in the couch cushions to buy a bomb pop from the strange ice cream man in his ugly box truck... chomp it down and then try to haul ass on your bike to catch him on the next street over!
ahhh the life.
