View Full Version : 360° Camera in Maya
Snowjeti 01-05-2006, 05:54 PM Hi!
I am currently working on a project where I have to render in 360°. My question is if I can take one single camera in Maya and modify it so it has 360° view angle or if I have to take somewhat like 8 cameras, where each cam can "see" 45°.
Please give me solution or a link where I can read something about that. ;-)

Both are available as mentalray lenses, though the lightengine aperture shader can be used with the regular maya software renderer too.

Here is a tutorial on how to create panoramic pictures:

Altough I wouldn t use my lens shaders, these are much better:

Thanks for help. I tried the mental ray lens shader already and it works, but it is not as good as I need it to be, so I'll try the other links you gave me. Thank you so far.
