Hi,
I'm working on a little school project, it's basically something to learn about textures..
I've read the tutorials about textures by Leigh, but can't find many options he referes to.
What i have is a simple sphere with :
UVW mapping (spherical)
Shell (inner : 1,25 ; outer : 0 ; rest untouched)
top/bottom material
- top : glass that should reflect and be transparent
(it reflects but the back of the sphere when rendered has my environment map (sky) on it,
so i can't see anything behind it, wich is the point of a transparent sphere i'd say..
i do make it transparent by using opacity :s, or by refraction : raytrace map)
- bottom : some plastic thing, no problems there
(except maybe the part of blur Leigh talked about.. i can't seem to find that slider/button/..)
so these are the primary problems at the moment..
Secondary are :
If i put top or bottom material on 2 sided, part of the bottom (plastic) is copied to the back part of the top.. maybe i do not grasp the real meaning of that function, but i need my material to be as if i put two half sphere's (no full orb) of different materials on each other without actually using two seperate half sphere's.. (if impossible please say so)
Greets and thx,
Sandje
