I've been working with lightwave for a few years, but never on a project this size. I'm working with a landscape model that I made from a government topography map. It's about 4km x 5km and I'm placing buildings and etc. on the land. The entire project is to scale.
My problem is that I can't get rid of the shadows on the land from itself in a reflection.
I've turned off the Self Shadow for the landscape object because it would cast shadows on itself and show the polygons with no smoothing and the polygon would just grey out, no texture on it or anything.
Now, that fixes the landscape itself, except when it is caught in a reflection. It then shows the shadows that I am trying so hard to get rid of.
Tried to attach photos of the problem but can't seem to because my message needs validated since I'm new?
