_Description
Join the award winning group responsible for the Condemned: Criminal Origins™, F.E.A.R.™, TRON 2.0™, and No One Lives Forever™ game franchises.
Work closely with engineers, designers, and artists on the creation of multiplayer game systems for a cutting-edge first-person action game on PS3 and XBox 360.
_Responsibilities
Develop the multiplayer game systems for a AAA next-generation console title. Some of these systems may include:
Game-play modes (e.g., Deathmatch, CTF, etc.)
Team management, stats and scoring
User voting and penalty systems
Spectator mode
Multiplayer user-interface
Client-side data replication and simulation
Optimization of game system bandwidth
Game-side cheat prevention
Integration of 3rd-party libraries (e.g., GameSpy)
Multiplayer related XBox Live TCR and PS3 TRC compliance
Work closely with Monolith's Core Technology Team's Senior Multiplayer Networking Engineer to push our game systems to take full advantage of our networking technology.
_Qualifications
5+ years of professional C/C++ programming.
Experience working on multiplayer game play systems
Ability to collaborate with engineers and content creators to develop robust and fun gameplay systems
Ability to openly discuss and review technical proposals, requirements, designs, algorithms, source code, and reference documents with engineers, content creators, and managers
Ability to easily communicate technical topics with both engineers and non-technical people alike.
Creative, focused, results-oriented, self-motivated, resourceful problem-solver with excellent debugging and strong communications skills.
Strong desire to build industry-leading multiplayer game systems
Ability to work well in a team development environment
_Preferred Experience
Designed and implemented major multiplayer game systemes for a published AAA game
XBox Live and/or Playstation 2 multiplayer experience
XBox 360 and/or PS3 development experience
GameSpy.net technology development experience
Microsoft Visual C++/.NET development environment
B.S. in Computer Science
