Join the award winning group behind the F.E.A.R.™ and Condemned: Criminal Origins™ game franchises. Work closely with engineers, designers, and artists on overseeing the development of game systems for a high-profile AAA 1st-person action game on the XBox 360 and PS3.
_Responsibilities
Manage, mentor, and lead a group of engineers in the development of new game-play systems for a high-profile AAA 1st-person action game on the XBox 360 and PS3.
Work closely with Monolith's Core Technology Team to leverage Monolith's newest tools and technologies.
Work closely with the Producer, Lead Game Designer, Lead Level Designer, Lead Artist, and Game Engineers to develop and maintain the technical design and engineering schedule.
Interface with 3rd-party development partners (e.g., Sony and Microsoft)
_Qualifications
7 years professional C/C++ programming experience.
Lead the engineering effort on at least one large-scale game project from start to finish.
Ability to work well in a team development environment.
Ability to lead others with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Positive, focused, self-motivated and easy to work with.
Broad and current technical skill set with excellent debugging abilities.
Excellent time management, organizational, and risk management skills.
Ability to both give and receive direction and constructive criticism.
Ability to quickly come up to speed on Monolith's technologies and game systems.
Must be truly passionate about making games.
_Preferred Experience
Experience developing 1st-person action games.
Experience working with popular 3D engine architectures and game systems.
Experience developing for one (or more) of the following consoles:
PS3, XBox 360, PS2, XBox or Gamecube
Microsoft Visual C++ development environment experience.
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science
