LEAD LEVEL DESIGNER (PC/Console Title)

_Responsibilities
Work side-by-side with the Lead Game Designer on development of gameplay needed in level design.
Work closely with level designers and programmers on development and refinement of game systems, particularly the game's AI systems.
Manage a team of 3-5 level designers, including task management and resolution of personnel issues.
Design environmental locations, mission scenarios, interactive encounters, and combat situations either independently or in collaboration with design team members.
Work closely with Quality Assurance and play-testers to identify and resolve gameplay and level design issues.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere and communicate in a professional manner with co-workers and publishers.
Work as a team leader and strive to maximize team performance.
_Qualifications
Experience as a game/level designer for published PC or console titles (some console experience preferred).
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills including a high standard of written English.
Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
Willing to work long hours if required.
Art or engineering skills a plus.
Knowledge of the LithTech editor (DEdit) a plus.
Familiarity with 3D Studio Max a plus.
_Items to Include in Portfolio Submissions
Images of 3D objects and/or environments. Fully realized environments cover the full spectrum of skills we are looking for: gameplay, geometry, and lighting. It is also useful to include information about the scenes like the number of polygons and how long it took from design to implementation.
Design documentation describing layout, game objects, and architecture of a finished level along with the finished level if possible.
Design documentation illustrating the ability to create fun and engaging gameplay.
