I have a problem with Blend shape in Maya, I have modelled the Character in NURBS (See www.geocities.com/terekki32) and did a couple of blend shape target and everything was fine, but now i'm having problems.

The character's lower jaw has the teeth parented to the head mesh with a cluster spanning CV's from both meshes to open/close the mouth.

When I duplicate the head and teeth group and delete history and perform a blend shape (Say a smiling expression) the mesh morphs BUT some CV's at the bottom of the neck scale, which is what I do not want, I have tried everything, can anyone give me some advice, Please.

I'll upload a couple of images to illustrate what I mean, when I get home tonight.

i've encountered this problem b4. but it's not about odd scale but strange translation on the base mesh.
the way i did to solve this problem is 1st, delete all history of the duplicated heads. then export it in to .ma format.
after that, import it back in to ur existing scene and create blendshapes again.
well.... it works for me and some of my friends.

That's brilliant, never thought of that, I'll try it. Thanks again
