I know there is a simple explination for this, but in the online help it says you type:

Render filename

and the files settings for the render will be used. But the images I'm getting are not raytraced, and seem to be missing other settings.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong here?

Thanks

what renderer are you using ? if its mental ray the command line render is run like this.

render -r mr -proj "whatever" "c:\filename.mb"

maya render i believe is

render -r ms -proj "whatever" "c:\filename.mb"

might be wrong there.

Hmmm, thats certainly different than what I'm typing, I'll try it now. I seem to have MayaBatch working on a few frames now.

Didn't get that -r <renderer> from looking at what was in the documentation. Oh well...

Thanks for replying!

MayaBatch -render <filename> seems to be working ok for me. What I wanted was the command render to use the render settings in the .mb file. I will test your version and see if that let it render the way the file was set up.
