Hello,

Does anyone know of a convincing method for creating realistic "Car Body Paint" materials in Max 4.0 using the default scanline renderer......im broke as hell and can't afford any vray/mentalray etc etc renderer......

if anyone knows any good tutorials it would be much appreciated......but i am limited to these things, Max version 4.0 and Default Scanline Renderer.

Just remember, the real trick is to have something for it to reflect. In the case of a car, a large white rectangle over it works well. Set it to 100% self-illumination.
