A couple of days ago I installed oaMelMenu (http://www.highend3d.com/maya/downloads/mel_scripts/interface_display/3761.html) and I seam to have screwed up Maya in the process. Now whenever I add a new script to my MyDocs/maya/7.0/scripts directory I can no longer run the script as a function.

SG_StarLight;
// Error: Cannot find procedure "SG_StarLight". //
The old scripts that were there before I changed whatever I changed still work fine, but new ones don't. I figured out I can workaround this by using “source SG_StarLight.mel;” but I also seam to have broken all the buttons on my SpacePilot so I'm trying to figure out how to get it back to it's original state. So far I've tried uninstalling Maya, killing the prefs and all the Maya references in the registry and then reinstalling (7.0.1) and it's still having the same problem. I have no idea where it's storing this setting, but it's driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

If anyone has some suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Maya stores scripts in two places. My documents and program files. Did you made sure everything was gone before the reinstall?

Yep, they are all in the My Documents folder and I made sure everything I could find was gone. I actually probably uninstalled and reinstalled four or five times, each getting rid of more and more stuff. The final time I deleted the alias folder in Program Files, and the Maya folder in My Documents and got rid of all the Windows Registry entries. I wondered if it might be my MAYA_SCRIPT_PATH that was screwed up, but when I do:

getenv "MAYA_SCRIPT_PATH"
It still shows that My Documents/Maya/7.0/Scripts/ and various other folders are included, as far as I can tell, all appearing as they should.

I've been reading up on the maya.env file to see if the problem could be in that file, but when I try to open the file in ConTEXT or Wordpad I get nothing but a blank file. I did a search of the computer and all of the maya.env files are blank, yet I have the MAYA_SCRIPT_PATH locations, is there somewhere else I should be looking for these? Could the fact that it's blank be part of my problem?
