Hi, new project from me.
Trying to get more detail into my projects and up my ability. This is intended for next gen consoles using the PGR3 poly limits as a guide ( 40k for interior, 40k for exterior ). Currently just under 5k tris after about 10 hours work.

Im not too happy with the lines from the lights to the windshield or just below the badge where it sticks over the bumper. The merc badge will be reduced in tris. Any top crits will be welcomed. I really want to push myself with this, thanks.

not bad! But WHY don't you model with SubDs? It's better to keep the object simple wih less polys, saves time... later, you can convert the model to a Polygone Only Model.

be carefull WHERE you need details and where not, for example those bars inisde the hood airvents . I think you could make a smooth curve with less polys.

well, post update shots!!! :)

even If you have 40 k the bottom of the front bumper is a really polywaste.. I would put more detail in other areas

maul: thanks, your right about the poly wastage. I got carried away and started throwing things in without thinking about them. I've cleaned up the mesh, now 4162 tris.

Ok the rear is nearing completion. Gotta work on the Air Brake and the rubbish to make it animateable. Thoughts and critics welcome.

Looking good there but you can still save polies after you optimised it a bit:)

looking good although I personally think the PGR 3 models use a silly ammount of polys for no good :) Not that they don't look good just that they could look just as good with less polys.

Next time you should start with a subD model and freeze it and go on from there, much faster and easier to work that way, I learnt that the hard way :D

How many tris are you at now? I'd cut of a few where there are just planar surfaces and stuff and add more bevels and stuff cause that's what looks nice in game.
