Hey!

www.bhenriksson.se (http://www.bhenriksson.se)

This material is mainly made in Maya, Digital Fusion and Photoshop but also with some usage of Shake, Houdini and Realflow. I've done everything from scratch except for the postproduction clips were I also display the original footage I've received from the film teams I've worked with.

I'm looking for an internship in the VFX field around March-June in Europe. I'm from Sweden but I speak english fluently. Mail me at mail@bhenriksson.se for more info.

Thx!

nice work on both the artistic and technical levels...

some of the character animation seems a bit stiff, but it's apparent your skills are pretty widely based instead of focusing on one or two areas... it's a bit difficult to tell from the video what skills you want to be hired for... (TD?)

Overall I'm impressed though - looks like you've been working on this material for a good amount of time...

ok gonna criticize by sequence.

-Character looks really good, the facial expressions are convincing and the fx of adding the skin looks pretty good, but the codec that you've used really ruins the scene. I have little black dots all over the face - looks like a gif animation. :(

-the sequence with the fluids and the glass is nice as well. glass and fluid look pretty real. The movement of the glass could look a bit more natural though. It's a bit too edgy... also you should consider showing the animation one time without the text and once more with text... it's disturbing watching an animation and popping text at the same time and you don't know what to concentrate on.

-in the scene with the explosion I'd consider showing the final scene first, and than taking away it's magic by breaking it down into the steps of work.

Beside that, I doubt that the barrel with which the door collides is as big as a door. Of course there are barrels that are as big as this one, but they'd not stand at the backdoor of a house. The door should be atleast 2 times as big.

Beside this, the explosion and fx are rock solid int this scene.

And please change the quality. For example @ 14 secs. The car is full of little green dot's... ruins the whole scene.

Thx for the crits!

neverman: I'm focusing completely on the VFX parts (simulations and postproduction mainly) but as these has to be placed in a contex I've created such elements. I've pushed te quality of these elements just enough so you don't get disturbed by them (like the linear animations you mention).

Lehmi: I believe you've just seen the breakdowns and not the reel? the image links to the reel. If so, I agree from you're point of view in what you said. About the door: I have a couple of examples of the simulation and decided to go with this one from the somewhat artistic choice that the motion in this one followed the generall flow in the explosion. The simulation figures are realistic if you put something heavy in the barrel. I know that the breakdowns suffers from heavy compression which will be fixed. It is mainly there to be informative so I thought I released it anyway.
