Hello everyone,
I have heard something that if I want to model something in 3ds max I need to change the scale unit to 16 Unit per foot. The question is how I am going to change it?Anyone can help with the detail explaination?

you need to put the grid and snap setting to 16. Or 8, or 4, or 2, or 1. 32,64,48, whatever.
16 is most common. that's for hl2 as well.

It doesn't matter in what unit scale you model something by the way. If it's a staticmesh or similar it can be at any unit scale you like, but if you want it to fit it in a particular area, say, a special door, a character is about 2,5 to 3 UnrealUnits high? that would make it 32x3= 96 units high (1UU=32). So just make sure whatever you build, fits in the 96 generic default max units.
If you want to build bsp in max (not easy, but you can do this with jamlander, by the time you get the hang of it you'll be just as fast in unrealeditor as in max) THEN you really need to worry about the 16 unit scale.

By the way, to acces your grid settings just rmb on the snap icon or go to customise>grid and snap settings.
