is your render licence installed correctly ?

other than that I would suggest that you check that you have write permissions to the folder you are attempting to render to and that you have read and understood the manual where it explains the correct syntax for using the file out node.

If both these are the case contact your reseller !

Hi,
I am using Shake 2.5 on a PC and have been having a problem where no files are being prduced from my FileOut nodes. The render window opens and appears to render the sequence just fine, but when I go to the directory where the script was supposed to be rendered, no file is there. The console is showing no errors.
I have tried changing directories, changing file types and creating new FileOut nodes and still have not yet been able to solve the problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem and know of a way to correct it? It's making me crazy!
I appreciate any help you can offer...

Hey there Ryan,

I haven't used 2.5 in quite some time but I know that on 4, you will certainly experience the exact same problem if your FileOut node has an output. That is, essentially, if your FileOut node has a noodle coming out of it and it's connected to something else further down the line, the render window will appear and seemingly render fine, but nothing will show up in your output directory.

Check to make sure that the FileOut node is the last node in your script. Shift+Click to add a new FileOut to anything not at the bottom of your script to put a new FileOut off to the side to ensure it's not being added to your tree on accident.
