After a long silence, Shekinah Studios have announced an upgrade to their modeler plugin Vertibevel. Lots of useful new features and a nice new price. Full details are available over on their site:

The upgrade price is $49.95 and the price of the full product has been reduced to just $99.95  They even include a tutorial DVD with free shipping in the cost :)

Hmmm Vertibevel was nice for LW5 time but I don't know what to think about this new version. With that old workflow (VB has it's own window) it seams very outdated compared to modern modelling tools.

Hmm, now I'm a little puzzled by your suggestion about this being an outdated workflow. It is far, far easier to create a complex bevel profile, for want of a better term, in a separate window than to try and build it in the main window with all its clutter and other complications. If you want precision then this is the way to go. In my experience, interactive beveling in the main Modeler window is fine for quick, rough and ready work but not so great if you really need precision. This is where Vertibevel has always proved its worth to me and why I've already placed my order for this new upgrade.

bevel ++ lets you use a spline chain as the profile and it updates interactively seems more intergrated becasue of that also saves profiles in preset shelf

and comes with anti overlap feature which i dont see mentioned here and its only about $20 or so as i recall

also for normal jobs bevel++ can completely replace lightwaves bevel
