Looks very much like the hell knight from doom 3.
You could add more normal map detail.

i wonder where to put more detail in the model.and what type of details.may be u can help me. here are the pics of the high poly done in max 8 and z brush2.

one thing i want to ask u. u said that u used real photos for ur fighter girl for her jeans and stuff. so do u click ur own photos or can we get them from some websites i know some paid sites but are there any free sites from where i can get pics of jeans t-shirts etc clothes basicly. thanx.

Doesn't seem to be much of a color or spec map, have you put much work into or applied these? A normal map alone acn only go so far.

I agree with GradiusCancer. Add some spec... you'll be amaised at the difference it'll make.
Your high poly looks quite decent. I think what seems to be missing is general focus detail- areas that you want viewers to possibly focus on- stand out areas.
I think on of the main problems is that it just seems a bit samey at the moment and generalised. I'd definately work on the face area more.
I used base photos for my work. I'd use a small piece of denim for example and make the jeans from that. A small piece of seam repeated around the legs for the stitching. I'd use a photo for the base skin and paint out areas that need fixing, etc.
I used a mixed bag of reference from the web, which I still do, though I have bought a digital camara now which does help to :D
Just use google image search as well as allthewebs's.
