I donít want to say anything degrading towards Photoshop CS. Iím sure a lot of people out there love it and find it useful, but I personally really really miss Photoshop 7 and thatís why I want to purchase that for home use.

But adobe doesnít sell PS7 and other retailers out there either sell copies (example: www.degreedownloads.net they just canít be legal) or they sell PS7 at almost the same pricing as CS!

What are my options here? Is it possible to buy of someone?

thanks
(sorry for my English... and so on)

Id watch some of those cheap software sites, they have been notoriously posted around as fakes, steal your money. Gone.

If you're a student you can get a student discount.

Maybe try ebay, but your right PS7 might be a little old to find.

I just checked out that link you posted and that place is definitely a scam. They let you download the program and charge you less than what the stores would. I doubt they have the licenses to even sell the programs. You mind as well just download the program over a p2p network....not suggesting that you should though...

cs has alot more, but I have gone back to CS1 from CS2, its basically slow loading,
slow painting, slow saving, glitches, bugs, etc. so its not a feature thing.

and I really wanted to use those extra folder options, but stability is more important.

i can understand where hes comming from. I received an older laptop thats only good enough to run OS9, and luckily i had a copy of PS7, since thats as high as we can go in classic.

besides PS7 has gotta be a heck of alot cheaper to get once you find it

Uhhh, if you actually look at those, the one that's $250 is a used, already registered copy, which i don't think it's even legal to sell. The unregistered versions are all $750 which is ridiculous.

I know they have a lot of older, supposedly unregistered versions for sale on Ebay, but I just got ripped off on Ebay (purchased item that was specified non-academic and was academic) so be careful. Oh and BTW: by carefull, I don't mean Paypal buyer protection, it's a frickin' joke.

Transfer an Adobe license (United States, Canada)

If you reside within the United States or Canada, use this document and the attached form to transfer the license for a single-user, retail version of an Adobe product. (If you reside in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa, see document 1004616 (http://www.adobe.com/support/salesdocs/1004616.html) , "Transfer an Adobe license (Europe, Middle East, Africa).") For information about transferring an Adobe volume license as the result of a merger, acquisition, consolidation, or divestiture, please contact an Adobe representative.

Note: You can transfer the license for an Adobe Collection, however, the license applies to the entire collection, not to individual products within the collection. You can't transfer the license for an educational version of an Adobe product.

The transfer of an Adobe license applies to all versions of a product. For example, if you donate your registered copy of Adobe PageMaker 4.0 after upgrading to PageMaker 7.0, you transfer your rights to PageMaker 4.0 and 7.0 by submitting a Transfer of Adobe License for PageMaker 4.0.

Transfer an Adobe License

Return a completed Transfer of Adobe License form to Adobe any time you sell or give away a single-user, retail version of a licensed Adobe product that is registered in your name. The product remains licensed to you or the company to which it's registered until Adobe receives the completed Transfer of Adobe License form. Once Adobe receives the form, the Adobe software can be registered to the new owner. Registration ensures that the new owner is recognized as the legal licensee and can receive customer service and support.

To transfer an Adobe license:

1. Contact Adobe Customer Service by phone to obtain a case number. Failure to contact Customer Service will result in processing delays.

2. Complete the Transfer of Adobe License form. Provide all information for both the transferer and the transferee, including your case number.

3. Have both the transferer and the transferee sign the Transfer of Adobe License form.

4. Return the completed form to Adobe Systems Incorporated at the following address:
