LW Tool in Maya Question

i dont know LW(i hate it :) what does it do this Bandsaw tool

Just use Lightwave to model and export them to Maya. Maya's modeling (Ugggggh!) capabilities fall FAR short of Lightwave's.

Maya has plenty of workarounds for poly modeling.
Some very good poly mod tools are here;

Odd I hated modelling in LW, but I just love modelling in Maya.

Lightwave and Maya are 2 completely different apps. Each has their own great things. Everyone also has their preferences too. I actually like the modeling tools in lightwave, but I prefer to model in maya because the navigation seems smoother to me. I started out on lightwave, but I have learned more from Maya. I still use both. Now for me, I think Cinema 4d sucks. I hate everything about that program except for the renderer.

"Swag", I don't care if you don't know... I am looking for someone that does know. So instead of wasting time starting BS package wars just keep your mouth shut if you don't know the answer.

All 3d packages are great... for someone who truly knows art it’s not the tool that matters it’s the artist. If you give artist a rock and a chisel he can make a statue.

i use it . i love it . i was a lightwaver . i love lightwave's modeler and maya just the same !
