another thing that disturbs me is that, when creating an object, mainly a cylinder and/or oil tank, and applying a hyperNURBS object to it, the caps are disconnected from the object. Wonder why? And is there any other way to make it into piece, without welding the caps points to the cylinder points one-by-one. Help wanter!!!

Here's an old thread brought back to life. :)

What is the reason for not having the caps joined to the sides of a cylinder? This happens also in Houdini and you have fuse (weld) the points; does it happen in Maya and Max also? So far I've always needed to weld the cap points to the sides of the cylinder. When would you not weld them?

I'll have to try "optimize" the next time I use a cylinder.
