Ok time for update now

So I pretty much complete arms ... and then I quickly did another torso (based on my first start with nurbs) to see what it looks like... hands still aren't looking really good ... but at least I have a start ...

I realised that some muscles studies could help me to understand the right place/connection on these ... Will have good thoughts about making a skeleton and then muscles...
So maybe you guys will be able to see that in a couple of years

Wow, Steph, great update!

Amazingly fast snail, I would say...maybe the snail has a turbo~jet backpack?

The one minor comment I would say is that perhaps the forearms could be a bit lengthened, and the wrists be given a bit more mass / provide more transition into the hands. Otherwise, looking really fabulous! It's very good, pretty, continue like that, huhu!

Just one point. The abdominal muscle have a strange transition with the chest. It seems to me that this transition would be more sharpened. And the transition between the rib cage and the pectoral muscle is too soft too, in my opinion...

Yeah , the torso is the nurbs base I had (I lost my previous male torso, I only had the nurbs version ) ... converted into polys and then merged ... I'm reworking this right now ... some muscle definition to work...

Only 3 remarks... nery visible in the perspective view for the 2 first...
- the low part of the face appear very pointed... as she doesn't have real chicks... that give t oher face a so much triangular aspect... as if the lower maxilaire were atrophied...
- the forehead on the level of the tempes, seems a little inserted...

The third thing, especially visible in the front view, it's the symetry of each eyes... we doesn't feel the caroncular part... at the eye's interior...

Mayeb an another point... little visible in the side view... but not really sure, maybe the cause of the first point... the rear part of the maxilaire seem too short, or too round... look at the shadow of the shape...

Some minor points... this head work start well... go Cadet... keep your hand on... :arteest: :beer:

I have to agree with Gunie, the first model is 'prettier'...the new model looks more like Beckie after consuming a few Twinkies......still really nice, but I think the first model is a bit more 'regal'.

I think I know what is bothering me with the eyes ~ the pupil and iris are too small, so she looks a little catty...maybe enlarging those will make her look more human. Hmm, the new model also needs a bit of an eyebrow tweeze...or maybe this is Elvis' daughter?

I got new projects for this thread ... after looking the spolight threads (thx again Beckie) I realised I spend a LOT of time doing tiny studies and now I think I'm ready (and also fast enough) to make entire characters , humans , or half-humans ... So I've got several ideas , but I'm afraid they won't be anatomy related that much ... But since they're gonna be half-naked , or as some birds would say, minimal clothed ... I hope it's gonna be okay ...

I will post the progress of each of them here and since I always use the same modeling technics , I won't bother you with the modeling process anymore , except of course if somebody asks for it ...

mmh, I guess this is it ... oh yeah almost forgot , for those who have seen my entry in the Journey Begins Challenge , I will probably get back to it in the following weeks and try to post a finished picture , slicely different than I planned at first tho ...:)

I had to laugh when I saw this, I mean, the devil really does wear prada but as usual amazing work! Did you extend the torso, it seems there's more waist, but hard to tell from the angle.

Only thing is that the fingers look a little bit boneless / broken, you might decrease the bend on them a bit and shorten their length a bit. The foot seems just slightly long, but that may be because she is a sexy beast at any rate, fantastic to see your update, and look forward to more!

She looks good, I see you've made some changes to her butt but it's hard to see in this angle - it still looks a bit odd from here, if her tail is coming from the centre it seems her hips are really wide - maybe that's just the angle or how this species is constructed :)

I mean a classic T pose is easier to get the right proportions , but hard to add lot of details before the deformations to get the pose ... And modeling in pose is cleaner , but tricky to find the right shape ... hard to tell ... mmh I would say that for an extreme pose like this one , better go with the pose from the start ... otherwise , the T pose works fine I think ...

Of course there are parts that are off, but wow, this is just totally impressive! :thumbsup: (My apologies as in my stage of mind numbing delirium over the hotness of Cristiano, I was blinded to your update :D ~ it won't happen again!) :)

I think mainly the difference in the face is that the marble bust has more uplifted / slanted / haughty eyes and a higher forehead ~ really, raising the eyes and forehead a bit might make the two look more similar. :) The overall shape of the face might be slimmer, but again I think you've just done a beautiful job...can't wait to see more! :bounce:

I am not at the moment able to compare your version to the original, but all of the basic proportions look great ~ the top of his head might be a tad higher, but that's a tiny quibble. :) It seems that wrinkles and such might be added with ZBrush ~ have you ever given that program a try? Given what you can do, it would be amazing to see how far you could push your models with million poly displacement maps. :D

And the second one you've started is so good that I was able to find with some searching the reference : head # 95:twisted: ... I'm again impressed and agree with Becca: It would be great to see some zBrush work from you to bring him further with more details, but this base version is already great:thumbsup: . You have a good eye (and hand:D ) for characters! More heads now!

Well I really do, I find it strangely relaxing! I hate skinning on the other hand, find it the most boring and frustrating thing so there :) My models will always remain pretty well textured but stiff as if they've swallowed a broomstick, unless I have a rigger at hand *g*

@ SulaMoon : Hey Ursula , thx a lot ! Yeah I feel pretty lucky to live in one of the allowed country ... I mean I would be pretty disappointed (like plenty of artists are) to miss that contest because of the geography you know ? ... I guess it must be some kind of rules about rights or maybe is it because some affiliate companies in these countries don't really know ...

@ Intervain : ahaha , since I have the chance to have 2 screens here , when I'm unwrapping I can put a movie on the other screen ... it doubles the unwrapping time but it's way less boring ... :scream: ... And no worries I totally hate skinning too ... well in fact I'm pretty much only enjoying the modeling I guess ... :D

So here is the orthographic views , Rebecca would mind if I ask you the same paintover on these ? , would really help me to find the areas I should correct ... except the right arm which I know It's over hidden ...
