Let me give you some background on it.
This is my first time ever filiming a movie. I absolutly had no idea how the camara operates when we started this project. It's along the way that i found more and more about it's use and buttons. What was our project?
Make a short movie of a "chase scene".
There are 3 of us in a group. I filmed, while other two were the actors. So what we had to do was, come up with story. Which all three of did. Then Storyboard. I did this part since i was the only one who could draw. So now of course we were ready to film.
We had just one Camcorder(camera). We used a tripod in the first shot but then decided not to do so since we'd be running around the school. I have to say this and i'll just say it. I had blasting time filming and being the directer. I was so intersted in filming and now, i am even more into it.
So we done filming. The bad news was that we were filming overtop of another film which was on a same cassete. So the quality came out not so good but watchable. Too make matters worse, there was no sound. It was completly blank.
Since we had the filmed saved on the school computers, i had to bring it home to edited it.
Now this part is even worse.
It took me like 6 hours of searching, pain, suffereing and disappointments to find a right type of video converter. I was lost in those 6 hours. But finally i found a right one.
I think i've written alot so i think i'll just make it short.
Edited the video in Premier. Imported to Flash and added the title/end and used layers, layers and even more layer for the animation and the sounds/music. 95% of the work done in Flash.
Since there was no sound on the tape, i had to find bunch of clips on the internet and have them in it. And just to make things intersting, i included ghostbusters song.
That's all i have to say. Just keep in mind that this is my first time filming, editing and combining flash to it. Oh and the flash animations were pre-made. They weren't animated for the video purpose actually. So interections won't look so natural. But this is the first thing i'm going to fix when i film again.
And if you have any questions about it, i'll be happy to answer them.
