View Full Version : SkyShader and R8
DeathCarrot 11-26-2002, 12:29 PM this plugin is very useful, especially for doing those day/time trasfer thingies. Anyone else use it? I've come across a problem, the animations dont work :thumbsdow you cant animate the time or day or anything, it works on 7 but not 8... strange, and this is the version meant for R8 (the second R8 plugin from plugincafe.)
Can someone help me with this please, as this is a very useful tool.

Hi
strange. It's working here. Could you send me a small scene file (t_kunert@maxon.de)? I'll have a look at it.

Funny how the Sky.xdl file is showing a modified date of 01/01/2098...I know that SkyShader is good, but Christ it's not that far before it's time

When I assign a keyframe to the Skyshader track it crashes Cinema every time. This is with EB v.8.01 and W2K. DeathCarrot--what version of R8 are you using?

Did you download the R8 version of the SkyShader? I know that the old version crashes. But the new one shouldn't do...

I found the reason, I'm on EB 8.001, and i tried it with the 8.012 demo and it worked right. :bounce:

Yep, I'm using the R8 version. It's probably because I'm using the first EB release as Death Carrot pointed out.

When the dates etc start acting funny on a Mac it's because the clock battery need replacement. The effect will be weird dates on files, strangely behaving clock and naturally, oddly behaving Cinema plugs that realy on accurate time and date information from the system.
Go to your nearest Mac dealer and have the battery replaced.

Hi Bucko
Thanks. I'll try it :)
No bucko it isnt the batteries causing this.
