Hi. I'm in the middle of a 3-day rendering. I'm rendering a minute-long sequence to a quicktime .mov file. I've realized that I am an idiot, that based on the size of this rendering and other risk factors I really should have output an image sequence.
As far as I know, MAX post-processes its .mov's when the render is complete. If you interrupt or cancel it anywhere along the way you're left with a tiny .#res file and a huge .flat.mov file which is not viewable or usable!!!
Can anyone tell me why MAX writes .mov's in the fashion, and wether or not there's any way to manually post-process it into usable footage after I've cancelled the render job in MAX?
Thanks!!!
