View Full Version : Sharing my mac hard disk

i have a powermac G5 with macos X 10.43 and currently wit 2 hard disk, question is how to i share the hard disk so my other PC can view it instead just saw the desktop file only????

From my enounters, PCs cannot see Macs on a network. Though Macs can see PCs. Basically what I do is push files from my Mac onto the PC, instead of trying to pull files on the Mac from a PC.

Just go into the "Sharing" in the system preferences. Turn on "windows sharing". Now your mac will show up in the network neighborhood on your windows 2k/xp box.

mike0006: osx has had this ability since it came out 5 years ago. It comes with Samba installed.
