i am new to zbrush, but have seen some really good texturing tools in zbrush.

what i have been trying to do is paint in droped mode, the painting looks just fine, but then when i go back and pick up the object the texture gets all stretched and well to be honest becomes really crappy looking, alot like if the paint was wet and some one rubbed against it and smeared it. perhaps there is something that i am not doing that will solve this or maybe i am just having bad luck. although this problem has happened to me several times.

please if anyone has anything at all that may help please comment

thanks

I believe there is two things that could happening here:
1. The resolution of you texture could be very low. If ZBrush sets the texture for you, when you call the Projection Master, it uses a 256x256 map, a poor resolution if you want fine details. Before using PM, you could set your own texture, a 1024 or 2048 texture, or even 4096 if your machine can handle it. it's in texture>New. Don't forget too to assign a UV layout in your model. This ensures your work won't be lost.
2. You are using PM in areas that aren't face the screen. When using PM, you should avoid painting in areas that aren' facing towards the screen, because if you do, PM will project you strokes in a direction normal to the screen, and texture will be stretched in many places.

I hope it helps!
