Tree project

HEY...it's almost 3d like :)... nice rendering so far!!!
ps.: the branch at right needs more detail (at least a little bit)

I think you need to look more at tree trunks- they usually have much deeper grooves, clints and grikes stand out more than they do here. I also think you need to make the tree trunk look more rounded, suggest forms with shadow etc. Good start though!

Paperclip: yes it was a problem for me too, but i couldnt find any good ref. for it, well found 1-2 but...

Well i wanted and i want to add something, because it is quite boring... isnt it? Im sure i will try to add a "death bird" (raven) to the left side of the tree, to the thinner bough, and something is necessary to the the whole tree i donno yet

I read "dead bird", not "death" and thought : hey dead raven sounds like a great idea!

I always been wondering where all the dead birds go, would be fun to have one

It is finally done!

I was bored by this picture, so made the final rendering, added texture and etc...
I didnt want to add more to the concept at all, this is good as a tree study it think, nothing more, nothing less. I love it.. its cool i think, but id like to see some comments if possible :D

So comments and CRITS are welcomed!

Looking nice! My suggestion is to add some branches coming towards the viewer. Now all the branches seem to be on the same plane.

Ohh, about this work i used 1px up to 5px sized brush, nothing strange...
