Hello,
There is always good time to be Modo Newbie, heh
I have a problem/question. I have a lot of LW models with textures, which i would like to use in modo. First time i opened the LW model, nice modo asked me if i would like to locate the textures. I didn't wanted to do that, so i have chosen - never again ask me this question.
And now - everytime i load any model to nice modo, it shows the model without textures.
So my question is - how to change nice modo into very nice modo to me? In other words - how to force nice modo to locate the textures while opening LW models? The textures are only images, so it should work?
Thank You in advice for helping another newbie.

In Preferences-->Lightwave I/O you can set a LW content directory, if it's the standard directory w/ the 'images' folder then modo will find your images for you and load them up. I suggest deleting all procedurals and gradients as they will screw up your exporting.

I did what you advised me, but still no luck. I can't make nice modo to load my LW model with textures. I can however make them show in vieports manually by picking the textures in material editor, but is there a way modo could do that automaticly?
Thank you

Images should be OK. Other textures sometimes cause crashes in modo.

Hmmm - this should work (just tried it, no problem).

The content directory should be the root project directory, not the 'images' directory (sorry if I wasn't clear).

So:

\Lightwave_Project_folder
\images
\objects
\scenes

set the Preferences->LW I/O content directoryto 'Lightwave_Project_Folder' not 'images'.
