View Full Version : Daff's Diamond Heist - Short film

Hello all, I'm new here so please, be gentle :)

Anyway i'm currently on the final year of a three year 3D animation degree in Swansea, besides a dissertation, the main task is to create our own short film. I've decided to create a film based on the slapstick efforts of Wile.E.Coyote in the Road Runner Cartoons.

The concept of the film is that of an inept cat burglar trying to steal a HUGE diamond from his local museum, however, the diamond appears to be in an unbreakable case and try as he might he just cannot get the case open.

I've passed the pre-production stage of the film and am now moving onto the actual 3d Production so i'd thought i'd post my progress up for crits and comments.

eh..i can be a bit of a noob at times, to the moderators is there any way this thread could be moved to the animations section as i appear to have posted it in the wrong section. Sorry :sad:

more updates, the basic structure of the head is modelled but it still needs a lot of tweaking and more detail needs to be added, along with the ears.

finished this a couple of days ago, i think the head is more or less finished modelling wise. I still need to sort out the eyelids and possibly some hair but i think i'll move onto the body modelling first.
