Hello...



This is a low poly WWII German officer Iím working on.
The low poly is made in Maya and the normal map is from a ZBrush model.


I still have some things to tune up on this one; the dark area above the eyes is going to get lighter for once.
The other thing is the white eye, maybe itís a bit over the top? What do you guys think??
I would also appreciate some feedback on the specularity, colour map and the overall model.

Itís a bit hard to see the model due to the dark uniform, so Iím posting a hardware shoot without the colour map as well.

Looks good, I didn't see the detail until I saw the normal map, probably because the clothes are so dark on an LCD display.

great work, nice normal map , could you show us the color map??? my only comment is that the area around the knee looks a little strange, i think the part above the boot is sticking out to much suddenly.

Looks really good! I would say if you want to bring up the highlights on the uniform it will show off more of your normal map. The darkness makes it a bit flat. The highpoly looks awesome and the texture looks good too. Good job!

The model and the normalmap (inkl the NMrender) looks fantastic! It's to bad that your colormap is so dark :( Keep the boots black but tweak the blinn eccentricity (lower it a bit) to make the specular more visible. Contrasting up the dark fabric should do the trick as well!

Thank you all!

I have tried to brighten up the colour map of the black uniform a bit, especially at the top of the wrinkles; hopefully itís easier to see the details on the uniform now.
Is it still to dark or do you find anything else that looks wrong?
Furthermore I have brightened up the skin above the eye a bit and slightly turned down the levels of red in the face and on the neck.

I also made a variation of the uniform; the new one is a 1943 SS second lieutenant security police uniform. Iím not 100% sure if they wore the iron cross to that one, or only black neck tie.
