View Full Version : 1st Architectural Layout
Weezpawn 11-25-2002, 04:52 PM Well after having viewed all the excellent work on here I have decided to brave posting my own. Please critique away as I am all for self-improvement!! :)
The following was a preliminary rendering commisioned by a local area architect. Building came from CAD Blueprints and I created courtyard, materials etc. Overall time spent modeling/texturing/rendering was approx. 30-35hrs.
Let me know!

Really nice.
But it still looks too clean & perfect, with the same hight for the grass all over the plane and so...

Thanks :)
The cleanliness factor was something I was thinking about also...
Do I make it look 100% realistic and put in some dirt maps, weeds, scratch surfaces etc. Or,..... do I make it look clean and perfect since I am pretty sure the architect wants his vision re-created flawlessly without imperfections. etc.
This being my first client (and after todays meeting, repeat client!) I didn't quite know how to answer that moral dilemma and would love to know how others may have dealt with similar circumstances in an architectural/Industrial Design setting.
