Yeah, only other time I'd heard about the numbers they approximated 20,000... 5,000 on Peter's side and 15,000 on the White Witch's side... Any idea how this number inflated to that much?

I think it's refering to the total # characters rendered throughout the sequence, not in one shot. Your numbers of people per side are correct.

Is anyone else getting tired of documentaries in the style of "The armies of ______" ?

I mean, it started off with LOTR, then the armies of Troy, the armies of KOH, the armies of ...
