View Full Version : Living Toons - 2D - character
I loved the idea of the contest, so I decided to join in. At first I thought I'd do a 3d, but when I started the sketch I got a little carried away, so I guess I'm just gonna finish it as a 2d ;) I'm seriously lacking time though...
Second thing - I've been working on that for a couple of sleepless nights at home, and right now I'm at work and havent got the .psd,so I hope you'll forgive me for starting backwards,I'm gonna post the stages of the drawing as soon as I get home.
There are a couple of things I'm going to alter later, maybe exaggerate the proportions a bit more (I think it got a bit too realistic),add backgound, and most important - paint the face:)
It's my first time posting here,so be gentle:)
Yep,and I know the "Bender Stratocaster"'s got only five strings and is left-handed.If for some reason you dont understand why it's "Bender" not "Fender", I'll explain later:)
Finally, here's the pic:)Thanks for reading all that:)
And here's me.I didn't use any reference for the drawing,I took the photo a couple of hours ago:)
Doesn't seem like anyone's interested,but anyway - here's an update...
Lack of interest?!? There is no such thing, man! This is serious stuff and I,m gonna watch this tread for now on!
But I'll wait for the progress pictures as well :)! Don't forget you promised :)
Keep on drawing, men!
hehe,thanks for being so kind,I'll buy you a beer,promise!

You spilled beer. Beer is for drinking. That is alcohol abuse :shame: ;) :)
Keep on rocking! You're doing a great job :buttrock:
I absolutely agree,I feel unbearable guilt...I'll make it up to you beer-drinking comrades,by drawing a couple more beers:)Thanks jeroentje:)!Dunno why,I love these head-banging smilies

Put in what you drink.
btw, this is my potion: http://www.hertogjan.nl and http://www.theglenlivet.com
Well to be honest, the only alchohol I can drink is beer. This is one of my favorites - Zagorka Gold (http://tolsun.oulu.fi/kbs-bin/directbeer?Nr=1246) .Heineken's ok too:)

Heineken is just good enough to brush your teeth with.
Hertog-Jan has more taste. I forgot Guinness btw...

Jeroentje, they´re christmas lights; here, in my olé country they are everywhere (and it´s still november), and tv are bombing us with toys and perfume ads. We´re a very religious country and we love to celebrate Santas´ birth and give one another expensive and useless gifts to show our love and joy.
I´m not Mr Scrooge.

Sorry Jovi. I've been watching, I just wanted to see your face. You could paint it like KISS maybe. I want to Rock and Roll all night, and party everyday! DEUCE!
anyhow, I like booze too. here are a couple http://www.beamish.ie/
as for liquor I don't really have a preference. I drink it all. But Glenlivet is really nice like Joroen said. A little pricey for me though.
:buttrock:  :xtreme:

He, I hope you'll finish it, it still lacks a face.
And don't forget to upload it at www.cgchallenge.com before the end of the week for the voting.
