In and effort to get some practice I developed some sketches based off of a popular childrens fairy tale. I must apologize for the quality of the scan, I'm having problems with my scanner.

Here is a close up of the part I intend to enlarge and just generally clean up on a seperate peice of paper before I scan it in and paint it in photoshop.

If anybody has suggestions for how to get a good texture on the skin I'd totally appreciate it!

Maybe you should use a custom brush to add some darker spots and brighter spot like toads have...

My internet has been down all day so I haven't been able to update. It's up again finally. I've learned so much about the brushes in Photoshop and how to change them while working on this project!
