CnC so far?
It's also my first attempt at a character model.

I'm having trouble texturizing her face though, any thoughts as for how to approach this?

Having done that one, I decided to go for realism.
This was rendered about 10 minutes ago ^_^

Opinions?
(note: anatomy isn't my strongest asset >.>)

That depends on what look he is going for .
Your modeling skills are not great yet, but they will be. I do see some very good signs in how you approach your models. For example in the first model of the little girl, you have got a nice pose, it looks natural. The proportions don't throw me off, that is another very good thing. Often you can see guys who have the best knowledge of how to detail and get the right topology, but there is not a lot of feel for proportions.

So, I would say, just keep on it. Oh, and if I can give you some advice. Don't start modeling human bodies right away. It is best to start with something simpeler. Because if you want to model a really good body it is going to take you weeks to months and most of the guys out there who are really good at it already have years of experience. They also have done their research when it comes to anatomy.

True. I was referring to the 2nd one, the attempt of a realistic human body. :)
