Maybe try the new particle system in Blender for grass?

okay, well, im sure that you've tried finding some yourself. becuase we all know that wasting people time on cg talk is frowned upon. but you can look up blender L-systems. on google. im not sure if they tanslated their french page yet. the L-systems will provide you with real enough trees for you at this moment.

as for grass, i believe that if you simply type in "grass" in the forum search, you'll find what you want. i remember someone have a huge disscussion about it way back when.

and um... might i suggest finding ur own creative ways to do things? people telling you how to do things doesn't make learning blender as fun and creative as it should be. :D

cheers

p.s. ... im douting that you ... "really need to know"... haha.... "you really ... WANT to know" lol

g'day

the blender L-system script has never worked for me.

try arbaro instead. it's much better and is also free and open source, and runs on all platforms since it is java. do a google for it, it will turn up.

i've sucessfully exported to OBJ format, which blender understands.
